“I just worry you won’t find someone.”

“You’re getting older.”

Sound familiar? “Mom talk” familiar? If you’re like me, you have a fun, loving, incredible mom who wants her babies to have babies. It’s a conversation at every holiday dinner, family gathering, or random phone call on a Tuesday.

I sometimes wonder if it’s my fault my mom thinks of my fertility more than me.

When I was younger, I remember playing house with my sisters and pretending I was married, with a baby and another one on the way. Life seemed so simple, so mapped out, so…suburban. I thought that by 22, I would be married and, by at least 25, have one baby. Well, as we get older, life happens, people change, and our paths take us on different adventures. I FOR SURE thought I was marrying my high school boyfriend because the puppy love was real, and I love puppies.

Fast-forward to the present day, and I’m 30 with no potential suitors on the horizon.
